Leipzig

Leipzig, a vivid and attractive city is located in the Free State of Saxony. It is among those cities in Germany with the richest and most venerable history. Leipzig, described by the world renowned poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe as a "miniature Paris", is nowadays one of the leading cities in central Germany. The city, punctuated with accents of Art Nouveau and turn of the century architecture, is ambitiously working to reinstate itself as a cosmopolitan and academic center, looking back to a 800-year-old tradition of trade fairs and a 600-year-old university. Leipzig's international reputation as a city of music is closely associated with the Gewandhaus Orchestra, the St. Thomas Boys choir, Johann Sebastian Bach and other great composers as Richard Wagner, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Robert Schumann. We are quite convinced that your visit to Leipzig will be memorable one.
